Lateral Coordination Activities
(Activities that improve coordination between the left and right sides of the body)
These are especially useful for children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delay, CP, learning difficulties, and for OT sessions.

Gross Motor Activities
1. Cross Crawl
• Touch right elbow to left knee and vice versa
• Can be done standing or marching
2. Animal Walks
• Bear walk, crab walk, frog jumps
• Encourage alternating hand–leg movements
3. Jumping Jacks
• Start with slow rhythm, progress to faster pace
4. Skipping -Hopscotch
• One foot → two feet → alternate feet patterns
5. Ball Kicking Alternately
• Kick ball using right foot, then left foot

6. Crossing Midline Games
• Reaching across body to pick objects
• Sticker placing across midline
7. Lacing -Threading
• Use both hands in coordinated manner
8. Two-Handed Tasks

9. Passing Objects Hand to Hand
• Pass ball or toy from right hand to left across midline
